I've just noticed that we have been using the same bio bulbs for more than a year - the one in our light tube is on more or less constantly throughout the winter. I'm still of the opinion that they provide the best artificial light I've seen.

The light is good, when it lasts. Of the 10 bought in the last year 4 have failed within 70 hours of use for each light. I would certainly recommend the bulbs, just keep the receipts and watch out for the whistling, its a sure indicator they're about to fail.

Excellent product. Produces very bright very white light (makes halogen look yellow).
I have now purchase a total of 15 (10 from this site once I found they sold cheaper bulk packs of 5 + free delivery for orders over £75).

Good and Bad points:-
Light is surprisingly close to daylight in colour.
Appears to produce a lot more light than standard bulbs or normal energy saving bulbs.
The quality of the light is much better than anything else I have come across.
You will probably end up replacing all your lights as other bulbs (low and high voltage halogen, standard, and energy saver) look yellow, murky and dull in comparison.
There is a very slight hum if you listen carefully near the bulb (I have also noticed this with other types of bulb such as low voltage halogen).
This proper light will make any imperfections in your home stand out where as normal bulbs mask imperfections due to the lower light quality.
Normal 100 watt equivalent energy saving bulbs use 20w compared to this bulb using 25w but it does appear to put out a lot more light for the extra 5 watts.
High initial price (but may be cheaper long term as I do not need so many light fitting per room)

I gave one bulb to a friend for trying out and they now intend to replace all the bulbs in their house.

We have had some of these in the house for some time now�long enough for me to have forgotten how long. The light is white and cheerful and good for sewing when daylight has run out. I recommend them.

I have purchased three of these bulbs in the past and now ordered a five pack. I have two in my lounge and have given one to my sister. Both she and I have suffered from a mild form of SADS and feel so much better with this bright, white light - it's almost like having permanent sunshine in the middle of winter! AND you get the benefit of low fuel consumption! Highly recommended.

The Biobulb is great! I hadn't realised how yellow our lighting is, until I replaced my (energy-saving) bulbs with the Biobulb. The light is so mucn more natural and pleasant. Hope it helps the mood too!
